The Annual Bruthen Art Exhibition of Art in Assorted Media

What a weekend of art, demonstrations, INXS Art Supplies market and a lovely Opening night

With 186 entries it was our biggest Mixed Bag yet. Thankyou to all the artists who entered and made it such a successful show, all the volunteers who gave their time, whether it was on the door, setting up, pulling down, transporting screens, demonstrating their special skills and organising the whole event.  Anda special thankyo to judges Lis and Gerry Williams who had the difficult task of picking the prize winners.

And the Winners were:-

Best in Show. Peter Oliver for his metal sculpture ‘Bill’, a large stylized Pelican.

Best 2D work. Cecille Michel for her pencil and charcoal drawing, ‘By the Dozen’, a platter of oysters.

Best 3D. Eileen Thurgood for her delightful “Tower” , a wooden tower housing 3 lit up dioramas.

Best under 12years. Billie Hodsman for ‘Winged Voyager” and Best 15 to 12 years, Penny Martin for ‘Rex’.
