The first “The Most Wuthering Heights Day” ever seen in Bruthen (yes we will be running down the hill not up the hill in our red dresses).
Forge Theatre, East Gippsland Shire, brought the popular show, “An evening without Kate Bush”, to Bruthen and Bruthen Arts and Events Council decided to add a bit more fun to the day. They are put on the first ‘The Most Wuthering Heights Day’ for East Gippsland as a pre-show event where everyone was encouraged to wear a red dress to do the Wuthering Heights Dance. The response was great and there was a good-sized group spent 5 weeks before the event learning the dance and then performing Bruthen’s own Kate Bush performance and dance. The show had everyone in the hall laughing and singing along. Lots of fun altogether.
Thankyou to all the dancers who came and made this a fabulous event. You all looked great running down the hill and dancing in your red dresses. The meal of delicious vegetable curries plus dessert was praised by many people who then stayed on to watch the fabulous show.
